Our Story

Seide (pronounced ‘side’) is a story of family, nostalgia, and a lifelong love for pearls. We’re three sisters who grew up watching our mother handpick the finest pearls and design her own jewellery. To her, pearls weren’t just kept for special occasions—they were part of everyday life.

The idea for Seide was born on a family trip to Beijing for the Chinese New Year—our first visit back in nearly five years. The epidemic had kept us away, and returning felt both nostalgic and surreal. On New Year’s Eve, as we watched our aunties put on their pearl necklaces, we were reminded of the pieces we once admired as children—the ones we’d try on, feeling both elegant and grown-up. A few days later, during our annual visit to the pearl markets, we found ourselves wondering: how do we reimagine pearls so that everyone would want to wear them? And just like that, the vision for Seide was born.

We set out to reimagine pearls for the modern wearer—classic yet contemporary, elegant yet daring. Every piece is handmade with the finest attention to detail, ensuring the highest quality craftsmanship. Whether for a casual coffee run or a night out, our jewellery is designed to be worn, loved, and lived in.
